Here, we’ve assembled a short list of some of the best solutions on the market today, and a brief discussion of what makes them worth knowing about.

Kaspersky Small Office Security 4.0

Kaspersky’s latest small business computer security offering is a mature, effective solution that earned literally perfect scores from AV-TEST for usability, protection and overall performance.  It’s hard to imagine a better recommendation

Just about the only thing Kaspersky Small Office 4.0 is missing is the ability to low-jack lost or stolen laptops and phones. Even then, this is a minor issue, and easy to compensate for with other solutions.

Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security

Bitdefender’s GravityZone also rated ‘perfect’ for usability performance and protection on AV-TEST’s latest review. It does what it does almost flawlessly.

However, it does lack some features which will be important to many users. Like Kaspersky Small Office Security above it lacks the ability to locate lost or stolen devices, but it also lacks any ‘file shredder’ capability and some important mobile device management features.

Panda Endpoint Protection Plus 7.20

Endpoint protection Plus from Panda ranks very highly for protection and usability, which are arguably the most important measures AV-TEST makes. Their help and support efforts are where Panda really shines as well, making this an excellent choice for many businesses.

Its performance rating is where Panda’s latest offering begins to fall a bit flat, at only 4.5 out of 6. What that means on a practical level is that you are more likely to make use of that stellar customer support.

SOPHOS Endpoint protection 10.3

SOPHOS’s Endpoint Protection 10.3 is a solid product which works well o all major platforms, including Linux, when many of its competitors specialise in only one or two of those.

In the other hand, it is not ‘first class’ in any one regard, and there are a few aspects in which it does not provide really solid protection.

Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security Advanced 9.0

Despite being in the bottom spot of this list, Trend Micro’s offering is still an excellent choice for fairly tech-savvy users. It offers excellent protection, and performs well in almost all areas.
